There’s no doubt that anyone, even without an online marketing background, is able to make money at home legitimately. But certainly not by following the advice of the so-called Online Marketing Gurus out there.
In 2012 I came across an Internet Marketing Program, teaching step by step how to build and make money with a website, starting from scratch. The owner offered the program for free, so I decided to sign up and give it a try.
Before going any further, I have to be honest; – I followed the whole program and I learned something about Internet Marketing. I even turned to make a sale on “ClickBank” and later on a $2 commission appeared on my “Amazon Associates Account”.
At that point I had already spent a significant amount of money. But seeing that $2 on my Amazon Account was somehow encouraging.
However time passed quickly, and month after month I was spending more than I could afford trying to keep my website live, including “Domain”, “Hosting”, Traffic, Autoresponder… and the list goes on. Despite my effort on creating content, there was no revenue and I ended up quitting.
Well, of course for those seeking profit online, persistence is key. However, in order to follow programs like the one I’ve just described, you have to be prepared to spend a lot of money, before starting to see results. Why?
– In fact what is behind most of this type of “Free Programs” is no more than “Affiliate Promoting Schemes”, normally targeting expensive products. You are encouraged to use resources such as an autoresponder, without even knowing how to create valuable content and drive traffic to your website.
As I said, I closed my website… But I kept searching for different online opportunities. I decided that I would only embark again on the online venture, if (by magic) it turns to be possible to start for free and see revenue without investing a penny.
Fast forward, not so long ago I came across an inspiring “community”. I signed up for free and so far I learned a lot of great internet marketing tips. Honestly, I now know exactly what I have to be putting in place to definitively make money from home in the near future, and above all legitimately.
What really caught my attention, was the fact that some of the “premium members’” websites do not use autoresponders. I was intrigued, thus I raised a question about that within the community. And, by the way, the common understanding is that it’s not a priority.
As you can see, I’m not here to show results yet. So far I did not upgrade to the Premium Account, as I’m keeping my plan to start “making money without investing a penny”. And there’s a lot of free resources available to guide me on this motivational journey.
